With the Summer break just around the corner, please have a look at the exciting things Nightingale has been getting up to in Term 6.

What fun we've had.

It's been a very busy term in Nightingale Class with lots of wonderful learning taking place. We've thoroughly enjoyed our topic and learning about all things that bounce... wallabies, lamas and kangaroos, to name but a few. Indeed, we're now very much looking forward to going on Safari after the break... AND also to finding out what our new topic will be in Term 5. Can it possibly top Bounce?  Watch this space!!

Happy Easter to all!

Researching about bats for our non chronological reports
Our class were learning how to take notes from lots of interesting nature websites.

Clay Model Making

Wiltshire Wildlife Trust came and helped us create wild art! We used only natural materials to create the models you can see.

Litter Picking

Wiltshire Wildlife Trust showed us how important caring for our local environment is.

Hapa Zome Printing
Nightingale had an art afternoon with the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust where we learn how to print using only natural materials.

We have been learning all about patterns in maths in Term 2 and we completed challenges using all sorts of maths resources.
Can you work out the pattern we have made?

We have been learning about Autumn through poetry, writing about the view from our classroom window and we tried out 'salt art'.

We think they look really frosty and crisp.

In term 2 our topic is Muck, Mess and Mixtures and we have been learning all about colour mixing and how colours can be made though mixing 3 primary colours or adding black and white - look at all the colours we have been able to create for our Autumn Art pictures.

When practicing our art skills this term we tried out smudging, blending and colour layering using pastels. Which do you think looks the most dramatic?
